Meet PennyPulse: Budget by Project on Web, iPhone, and Android
Most finance apps pour every expense into one endless list. Rent next to groceries next to the tiles for the kitchen renovation — and when you ask the one question that matters, “where is my money actually going?”, the answer is buried in a scroll.
PennyPulse takes a different approach: it organizes your money into projects.
What PennyPulse does
A project is any part of your financial life that deserves its own budget — Everyday spending, a renovation, Freelance income, Health. Each project has its own transactions, its own budget with a progress bar, and its own insights. Nothing gets mixed together, and nothing gets lost.
Around that core, PennyPulse gives you:
- A customizable dashboard — toggle the widgets you care about: balance card, period report, category breakdown, project highlights, recent transactions
- Period comparison — switch between week, month, and year views and see the delta versus the previous period
- Spending insights — a category breakdown of where the money went, savings rate, daily burn, and net cash flow trends
- Recurring transactions — set rent or subscriptions to repeat weekly, monthly, or yearly and stop logging them by hand
- Powerful filtering — slice transactions by type, category, project, or search text
- Data export — download all of your transactions as CSV anytime; it’s your data
And one thing PennyPulse deliberately doesn’t do: monetize you. It’s GDPR-compliant, shows zero ads, and never sells your data.
One account, every platform
PennyPulse is out now on all three platforms, with everything in sync under one account:
- iPhone — download on the App Store
- Android — get it on Google Play
- Web — use the full dashboard at app.pennypulse.io
Log an expense on your phone at the checkout, review the month on the web at your desk — it’s the same data everywhere.
